Where are you located?

We are located in the Northside neighborhood of Richmond at 120 W. Brookland Park Blvd. Our shop is on the same block as Ninja Kombucha, across the street from ScrapRVA. Look for the hot pink storefront!

You can also find us in an area near you! Keep your eyes peeled for The Pink Lady, our ice cream truck. Check our Facebook or Instagram page to find out where she will be next!

Can we sit inside?

You sure can! We have limited bar seating, as well as window benches for you to take a moment and enjoy your delicious treats. Don’t forget to snap a picture along the mural for social media and tag us!

I have allergies. How can I best enjoy your ice cream and sweets?

Accepted Answer

Please let a Scoops Squad member know as soon as you’re at the counter and we’ll be sure to steer you to the flavors that are safe for your consumption! We’re also happy to grab a fresh clean scoop to assist with mitigating cross contamination.

I’m looking for a specific flavor I once tried. How can I get it again?

Accepted Answer

As a seasonal artisinal ice cream and sweets shop, our flavors rotate regularly to offer you the best products.  We always have vanilla and a chocolate ice cream variation, as well as mango sorbet (vegan) as standing flavor offerings, with another 9 flavors (mix of dairy and non-dairy flavors) in rotation.

What is your favorite flavor?

Honestly, all of them! We wouldn’t serve a flavor we don’t enjoy. However, we understand everyone’s taste varies. A Scoops Squad member in the shop can help identify flavors to try based on your preferences.

Question 8

Do you make milkshakes?

Accepted Answer

You mean liquid excellence in a cup? Absolutely! You can choose any one of the daily flavors for a shake.

For those interested in a vegan shake, we offer oat milk, which can be paired with one vegan ice cream flavor of your choosing. We also suggest trying our Slushes, which are a blend of a sorbet flavor of your choice and Ninja Kombucha (Hey, neighbors!), a fermented tea drink (flavors vary). Think a Slurpee, but with gut benefits!

Question 9

Can we mix two flavors in one scoop or a shake/slush? Can I get half scoops?

We suggest ordering two scoops, which allows you to mix-and-match two flavors. Drinks are limited to one flavor choice. We do not offer half scoops of flavors.

Do you offer pints in any of your flavors?

Accepted Answer

We offer pre-packed pints in store, which can be found in a reach-in freezer across from the register. Flavor offerings may differ from the daily flavors in the store. Starting April 1, we will offer  hand-packed pints from our dipping cabinet as a new service.

What are your scoop flights?

Accepted Answer

Our scoop flights allow guests to enjoy 6 golf-ball sized scoops of our daily flavors. Best enjoyed on the premises, these are a great way to try half of our daily offerings. Perfect for sharing…or not (this is a judgment-free zone)!

Question 12

I’m not from the immediate area and want to pick up some ice-cream to take with me. What is the best way to do so?

Accepted Answer

Ice cream melts quickly during the blazing heat, so we usually encourage guests to enjoy it right away!

If you are traveling more than a few minutes and choose to transport ice cream, we strongly advise you to bring a cooler and dry ice. Please exercise caution handling dry ice; safety and handling information can be found here should you choose to handle at your own risk. Dry ice will ensure the ice cream retains its quality for the trip. Pre-packed pints, to-go single scoop cups, and to-go double scoop cups are the best options to choose when traveling.

Why dry ice and not regular ice? Regular ice is warmer than the temperature ice cream needs to remain frozen.

Why do your flavors seem to run out from time to time?

As a seasonal and artisan ice cream and sweets shop, we make all of our ice cream, sorbets, cookies, and sauces in-house in small batches. Due to our products being fresh, we occasionally run out. We strongly suggest arriving earlier in the day to have all the options available.

Generally, we post any open positions on our Instagram with a live application link in the bio. Feel free to complete and send a copy of your resume to info@rubyscoops.com during this time.

Do you provide your ice cream, sorbets, and cookies for events?

Accepted Answer

We do and we’d be happy to discuss how we can help. Please email us at info@rubyscoops.com or submit your information through the contact form on our website. Please make sure to provide as much detail (date of event, # of attendees, location, flavor interests, duration of event, etc.) as possible to aid in providing the most accurate response. Please allow at least three weeks lead time for event inquiries.

Rush requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Should we be able to accommodate, a $150 rush fee will be incurred.

Are gift cards available for purchase?
